Polk Museum of Art will be celebrating the Caribbean with an evening of culture, music and food on Friday, February 5. Rex Harris, Granada native and owner of R & R Chutney, will create his specialty Caribbean dishes – including jerk wings and curry shrimp. Other dishes will consist of Creole chicken, Caribbean beef and coconut ice cream with chocolate bread pudding.

Polk Museum of Art is pleased to announce Jerry Uelsmann as the fourth recipient of its Artist Lifetime Achievement Award to be presented by the Art Resource Trust of Polk Museum of Art. Previous recipients of this award are artists Miriam Schapiro, James Rosenquist, and Robert Stackhouse. Uelsmann will receive this award at a banquet held at the Lakeland Yacht and Country Club on January 14 at 7:00pm.
