Profile: Discover one of Florida’s top ten art museums, right here in Lakeland! Polk Museum of Art has been serving Lakeland and Polk County for over 40 years, and it’s the only Museum in Polk County that is accredited by the American Association of Museums. Only 700 out of 17,000 museums in the country have that distinction!

The Museum’s diverse exhibition schedule features over 20 exhibitions per year in a wide variety of artistic styles and genres: from the realistic to the abstract, and from the ancient to the extremely contemporary, you’re sure to find something you like on display!

Want to do something fun or enlightening? The Museum provides a comprehensive calendar of events and educational activities, as well. Just look at all we do: Volvo Mayfaire by-the-Lake outdoor art festival; Family Day, an annual art carnival; art classes; lectures by visiting artists; fun parties like The Gala, Drinkable Art, Red, White & The Blues, and Kwanzaa Celebration; and don’t forget our monthly films and unique Museum Store.

With everything to choose from, come find out why Polk Museum of Art is MORE THAN AN ART MUSEUM!
