Stop by the Downtown Curb Market on Saturdays (8-2) and Wednesdays (11-2) to find unique handmade, home grown items for anyone on your gift list offered by local business people at our Market. We have a few of our beautiful poinsettias left – especially the hanging baskets. We’ll sell them to you for the reduced price of $10 or make Jim an offer! Dr. Scissorhands Pumpkin Carving Exhibition – Oct. 29th

It’s that time again! The Annual Dr. Scissorhands Pumpkin Carving Exhibition is this Saturday. Eight local doctors – surgeons, cancer specialists, a veterinarian: come see what they create! The carving begins at 9:30 and the auction is at 11. We’ll have a costume contest at 10:45, kids’ crafts, the bloodmobile, swag from Peace River Center, poinsettia pre-order table, Hall Communications’ staff, and a boatload of our favorite vendors! This year, our vendors are competing for your votes for their best costumes! It is a fun time and we hope YOU join us at the Downtown Farmers Curb Market this Saturday. By the way, we are open every Saturday 8-2 and every Wednesday 11-2, right across from Crispers at the corner of N. Kentucky and E. Pine. See you there! Dr. Scissorhands Pumpkin Carving Exhibition – Oct. 29

Don’t miss the Annual “Dr. Scissorhands” Pumpkin Carving Exhibition at the Lakeland Downtown Farmers Curb Market, where local doctors “operate” on innocent pumpkins. They create the coolest jack-o-lanterns that you can bid on to take home or give to a friend. Carving begins at 9:30 a.m. and the auction will begin at 11.

There will be a costume contest at 10:45. It’s simple: just show up in time for judging. You’ll also have a chance to vote on the best vendors’ costumes. Kids’ craft activities will be available.

Peace River Center will be present for this event on 10/29. They’ll have information on behavioral health services in our area, as well as information about recovery from mental illness and substance abuse. They’ll have FREE reusable grocery bags to give away to grown-ups, and for kids, FREE stickers and pinwheels! (Pinwheels are the national symbol for child abuse prevention.)

All proceeds benefit Alliance for Independence. Special thanks to 98.3 MAX, the creative doctors, all our great vendors, and YOU!

Farmers Curb Market New Season Begins Sept. 3

We hope to see YOU this Saturday for our season opening 8 a.m. -2 p.m.! We have new and returning vendors, live music, ready-to-eat food and more! Who won the 1st Annual “Curbie” Award? Who won the awesome bolga basket filled with vendor goodies? Contest and prize winners will be announced at 10 a.m.!
