SEU to Premiere Feature Film “Roundhousen’s Roast” at Polk Theatre
Southeastern’s Department of Communication will debut its first feature film during a special event on Friday, April 8, at the Polk Theatre in Lakeland, Florida.
Showtime is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The film, Roundhousen’s Roast, was produced and directed by Southeastern students and faculty and includes many students in its cast. The film also features two prominent local actors, Tony Senzamici and Paul Hughes.
Roundhousen’s Roast follows in the line of murder mystery comedies such as Clue and Murder by Death. The plot revolves around an award gala at a historic theater where some of the community’s most well-to-do citizens have gathered. The event has been organized to honor Stimpson Roundhousen, an influential member of society, with the Humanitarian Man of the Year award. During the gala, Roundhousen reveals he has a special announcement that will change the course of the event.
The public is welcome to attend the film’s premiere at the Polk Theatre, though formal attire is encouraged.
Tickets cost $8 and can be purchased online at www.PolkTheatre.org or at the door on the night of the event. Limited seating is available.
