8:10 Called to Order – Julie Townsend
Membership – we currently have 161 members. Mitchells has rejoined. Main St. Creamery has paid past dues. Paint –A-Long Gallery is going in where J.Rowen was.
First Friday – Skyward Festival was a huge success and Sun-n-Fun will be our April 2011 theme
May – Public works
June – Bicycle Night
* July 2nd – Family Picnic, pie bake-off among merchants and restaurants, Lori Powell will organize this. Pie eating contest, bean bag toss, sack races, dunk tank (Jim Nixon), Julie will also check with moonwalk.
* July 3rd – Red, White and Kaboom – tables will be set up for more outside restaurant seating.
August – Dog Days of Summer
September – Back to School
October – Art Walk
November – Honor our Servicemen and women
December – Holiday activities
General Marketing – summer postcard? Yes, Julie will work up and get cost. Flyers, color/double sided, need about 175. Newsletter is being proofed.
March 17, 2011 – Original Quilt and Sewing Expo
Julie will try to pick up vendors for future events
Julie will make flyers of “welcome” to be displayed in windows of businesses to show support of Lakeland Center events.
Get items to Julie for goodie bags that Lori needs
May 1, 2010 – Fancy Flea, Main and Cedar
Due to Public Works needing so much space, the car show will put overflow on Tenn. and Pine.
