Attending: Ellen Simms, Lynn Dennis, Karen Kovach, Dan Stetson, Lori Powell, Jim Doig, Tim Calhoon, Jean Bunch, Frank McCaulley, Margaret Stephens, Kay Morgan

8:05 Called to order – Ellen Simms

Minutes of Feb 24, 2010 – motion to accept, Frank McCaulley. Seconded, Jim Doig

Treasurer: Jean Bunch – We currently have $69,283. Motion to file financials, Dan Stetson.  Seconded 

Tim Calhoon. Accepted.

Membership : Tim Calhoon – New Members ; Trilogi,Inc (gold), Nalbach to Court (gold), Sun n Fun (gold), Fields Insurance and Financial Group, Jimmy John’s, achievement Academy, Hookah Palace, Pilka and Associates,PA, and Kathie Patterson,LMT.

  Ellen Simms gave an explanation of reciprocal agreements for non profits. Tim Calhoon made a motion to accept, Jim Doig seconded.  Paragraph: New “arts “level, line two, change (that) directly to (or) directly. Motion passed.

First Friday: Jim Doig – April; Sun-n-Fun Festival, help is needed at the DLP booth. 

                                         May; Public Works

Brewz Crewz: $13,580.went into budget. Work starting for 2011. Date, Feb19, 2011. VIP ticket price going up- get to spend more time with brewers.  More porta potties will be added

Downtown at Dusk: where will it be?

Program : Frank McCaulley – April, “Speed Dating” talk about your business in3minutes or less.

Ideas for future programs, transportation, homeless coalition, Polk Vision

Luncheon: Lori Powell – October 6, 2010. Program, Gow Fields. Music. Working on prizes and give-a-ways.

Parking – shoppers disappointed with parking. Need more time that 2 hours for eating and shopping. Have commisoniors come to general meeting. Have questions ready, not complaints.

Ellen – computer purchase. Julie is using her personal computer. Proposed, $2500. Frank McCaulley made a motion not to exceed $2,500. Lynn Dennis seconded for executive board to approve.

Julie was paid her bonus.

Motion was made for Julie to apply for Leadership Lakeland. Cost about $1,500. Ellen wants DLP to pay. Tabled until April meeting. Jim Doig says with understanding that if not completed, Julie will have to reimburse money.
