Call to Order: Ellen Simms – 8:00am
Membership: Julie Townsend – introduction of new members: Community Southern Bank, Christ Church at Lakeland, And Alliance for Independence (AFI), Central FL Speech and Hearing
Treasurer’s Report: Jean Bunch – we currently have $30,509.68
Program: Frank McCaulley introduced our speakers, Eddie Hill and Arron Bates from Blue Sky
First Friday : Jim Doig – March, Oncology on Canvas and Downtown Unplugged

Brewz Crewz: Julie Townsend (for Eric Belvin) – tickets on-line or at Fast Frame. Restaurants, Fresco’s, Harry’s, Natalie’s Sports Bar, and Grill Smith. Partner, Elder Point Ministries. Music
Downtown at Dusk: Feb 9, 2010 at Fresco’s with Vintners and Body and Soul
Program for March 3rd – Highlight your business, you have 3 minutes to tell all
LDDA: Anne Furr – The LDDA worked to bring Blue Sky downtown. They had many options; the CRA subsidized the rent along with Marcobay. LDDA is an elected / advisory board. CRA meeting is the 1st Thur, City Comm. Room at 8am. Consultant for Downtown, get your bumper sticker/cling for your car. Visit FL grant – 8,500 went out in the mail, 7,500 are in Outpost 27, others distributed to museums, chamber and local businesses to give out.
Executive Director: Julie Townsend – We have a new intern; Sara Park is a senior at Polk Collegiate High School. Items for “goodie” bags needed, up to 2,000 pieces. Lynn Dennis from FL Southern has agreed to join the board, she will be voted on at next board meeting.
New Business: Fairfield Inn – have their Shuttle up and running bringing their guests to our downtown.

Brooke Pottery – celebrating 22 years, with this being the 1st year for Margaret and Kay
AFI – wine fest, downtown, buy tickets on line
