EXPLORATIONS V CHILDREN’S MUSEUM TO HOST 29th ANNUAL CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL
LAKELAND, FL (March 3, 2010) -In conjunction with the national Week of
the Young Child and the statewide annual Children’s Week, Explorations V
Children’s Museum will host the 29th Annual Children’s Festival on
Saturday, April 17, 2010. The event will run from 10am until 3pm. It
will take place at Explorations V Children’s Museum, located at 109
North Kentucky Avenue and across the street from the museum in Munn
Park. Numerous hands-on activities focusing on art, science and music
will be featured as well as a giant slide and big wheels. Admission
covers the hands-on activities and family-priced food will be available
for purchase. Admission to the event is $4 for museum members and $5 for
non-members. Children under two are free. Heartland for Children is a
Major/Mentor Sponsor and Lakeland Electric is a Partner Sponsor.

Explorations V Children’s Museum, a private 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization, is located in downtown Lakeland in the historic S.H.
Kress Building. Three floors of mind stretching, kid-powered exhibits
and programs provide a hands-on, fun-filled adventure in learning for
children and their families. Hours are Monday – Saturday, 9am to 5:30pm.
Admission is $5 per person. Senior citizens 65+ are $2.50. Children
under two are free. Members of Explorations V Children’s Museum are also
free.
