PMoA Announces Jerry Uelsmann as Recipient of Artist Lifetime Achievement Award
Polk Museum of Art is pleased to announce Jerry Uelsmann as the fourth recipient of its Artist Lifetime Achievement Award to be presented by the Art Resource Trust of Polk Museum of Art. Previous recipients of this award are artists Miriam Schapiro, James Rosenquist, and Robert Stackhouse.
Uelsmann will receive this award at a banquet held at the Lakeland Yacht and Country Club on January 14 at 7:00pm. Tickets are $100 per person for Art Resource Trust Members or $125 per person for Non-Members and must be purchased in advance by contacting Pal Powell at 863-688-7743 x.240.
A fifty year survey of Uelsmann’s work, entitled The Surreal Photography of Jerry Uelsmann, is on display at Polk Museum of Art through January 17.
The Lifetime Achievement Award Banquet is presented by the Art Resource Trust of Polk Museum of Art. The Art Resource Trust is a group of collectors within the membership of the Museum that is chaired by Robert Puterbaugh. Members of the Art Resource Trust support the Museum’s mission to collect major artworks by nationally and internationally recognized artists.
