8:05 Meeting called to order. Introductions by Julie Townsend.

We have three new members: Body and Soul Massage and Wellness Center,

Lakeland Music Center and Lakeland Moonwalk. We also have a re-joining member, The Antiquarian.

Holiday Hours: not going well.

Walk About Review: Thanks to Pansler Law Firm for sponsoring Holiday Walkabout and hosting Santa.

What can we do to improve for next year? Tree Lighting? How much would this cost? We need more lighting on the North end of Kentucky past Bay St. Will have to talk to the city about this.

Can we put out luminaries? Should we open up to all Religious organizations? Breakfast with Santa? Gingerbread House competition? Letters to Santa to be answered by the Lake Morton Tower Seniors?

Holiday Fest: Because of the rain on First Friday, some school groups rescheduled for Holiday Fest.

• Cross marketing with the Home Tours- 2 day event? 1^st day nighttime events?
• Coupon sheet ,share mailing cost, est. $250 per business, direct mail
• Black and White map to put into restaurants – ease of information – display stands, get member sponsor – Mike Maguire will to cover cost
• LDDA bags and Goodie bags all gone
• Downtown marketing as opposed to DLP benefits? Creating goals, work on events, everyone benefits, even non-members
• How can we help each other? Bev Hendricks suggested having dinner before going to Lakeland Center for concerts, pair with restaurants?
• Customer appreciation, discount “VIP” card, send letter to “good” spenders, enough members so the burden isn’t on just one, have to sell program, get all DLP to participate.
• Downtown Dollars – not enough awareness, need web site link- who takes Downtown Dollars? First Friday information. Mike Maguire is will to help with this site.
• DLP promotes all downtown, not just members. However, DLP members get to vote for changes
