The ISO’s Symphonic Reflections Masterworks Concert features “I Vespri Siciliani Overture” by Giuseppi Verdi, “Premiere Rhapsody for Clarinet and Orchestra” by Claude Debussy with the ISO’s own Ann Satterfield on clarinet, and “Rustic Wedding Symphony” by Karl Goldmark.
Ann Satterfield has been a member of the Imperial Symphony Orchestra since 1980 and is the Orchestra’s principal clarinetist. In years past, she served as personnel manager and music librarian. She currently serves on Adjunct Music Faculty at Polk State College in Winter Haven, Ybor City Campus of Hillsborough Community College and Southeastern University in Lakeland.
Ann is an avid chamber musician and is most passionate about performing the works of living composers. She is active with the “Helps Composition Competition and Festival” at the University of South Florida.
A native of West Virginia, Ann graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Music Education before making her move to Florida. She received her Master of Music in clarinet and saxophone performance from the University of South Florida in 2007. Debussy’s Premiere Rhapsody was a selection from her graduate recital.
In addition to her passion for performing on clarinet, saxophone and flute, Ann enjoys cooking, listening to live music, reading mysteries and poetry.
The Symphonic Reflections Masterworks Concert is sponsored by The Hilda Sutton & William D Blanton Foundation and Radiology & Imaging Specialists
