PMoA Receives $50,000 Economic Stimulus Grant

Polk Museum of Art is pleased to announce that it will be receiving an NEA Recovery Act grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. LDDA Board Candidate Qualifying July 27-31, 2009

Two seats on the LDDA Board of Directors are up for election in a contest to be conducted on October 6, 2009.  The qualifying period for candidates will be from noon, Monday, July 27, 2009 to noon, Friday, July 31, 2009 in Bartow at the Supervisor of Elections Office, 250 S. I hope you’ve been over to PMoA to see the new exhibitions. One of them, Silver Linings: Delicate Drawings by Carol Prusa is really captivating. (I even asked the Curator how much one of the smaller ones cost. Let’s just say it’s not in my budget.) And, lucky for Lakeland, the artist will be here for the reception on July 24 at 5:30pm.
