FLYING TIGERS ANNOUNCE MAKE-UP DATES WITH CUBS
Games rescheduled for June 22-24 Series
Lakeland, FL – The Lakeland Flying Tigers will make-up postponed dates with the Daytona Cubs when the two teams meet at Marchant Stadium June 22-24 in Florida State League (FSL) action. The two teams will now play five games in three days.
Monday, June 22 and Wednesday June 24 will be doubleheaders beginning at 5:00 PM. Tuesday will remain a single game beginning at 10:30 AM when the Flying Tigers host summer campers from around Polk County.
The make-up games were made necessary when all three scheduled games between the two teams in Daytona May 22-24 were postponed due to heavy rain and wet playing conditions. Because the two teams do not play again in Daytona in the first-half, the games have to be played in Lakeland. The June 22 series marks the end of the first-half in the FSL.
Tickets for the Daytona series and all home games are available by calling the Flying Tigers at (863) 686-8075. Box seats are $6 and reserved seats are $5 and seniors 55 and over and children 14 and under receive a $1.00 discount. Saturday tickets are an additional $1. Parking is FREE. The Flying Tigers are a Class A Affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. For more information please visit the Flying Tigers online at www.LakelandFlyingTigers.com.
